The 30-year yield increased as much as 13 basis points to 3.06%. The Markit iTraxx Europe Index of credit-default swaps on investment-grade companies rose two basis points to 80 basis points. A gauge of swaps on junk-rated businesses rose four basis points to 354 basis points. The MSCI Emerging Markets Index fell 0.9%, headed for its lowest close since July 8. The yield on Bulgaria’s euro-denominated bonds maturing in September 2024 rose 16 basis points to 2.09%, the highest since July.
